PERSONAL
PROFILE
Company
owner and senior consultant Andrew Young
is a highly experienced Account Management
and Sales Professional. He launched
Vista Business Development Consulting
in early 2007 after 15 years working
for large multinational organisations
(Capgemini, Schlumberger, Atos Origin,
Sema Group and BR Business Systems)
in Account Management, Business Development,
Consulting and Sales Training roles.
Andrew has personally closed over $500m
in deals managing the entire sales cycle
from lead identification, qualification
through to contract, delivery and account
management. This knowledge saw Andrew
appointed to head the development and
roll-out of a global sales training
programme (Schlumberger 2002-04) and
he was part of the Executive Team that
built the strategy and delivery of a
‘Top 200’ Global Account
Development Program (2004). |
He was fully
responsible for the Account Management training
program and the global implementation of a
new Account Planning & Bid Management
process and he trained over 350 managers in
more than 20 countries.
Andrew is an associate trainer/course designer
aligned with numerous training organisations.
He is a certified coach for the SalesKey™
behavioural assessment tool used widely in
sales-specific training needs analysis.
Andrew has deep knowledge of the Technology
Sector having worked on deals involving business,
information and technical consultancy, systems
integration (build), applications management,
security, infrastructure and network services.
Typically, these major deals incorporated
a mix of solutions such as Design, Build and
Operate (DBO) or advanced BPO whereby complex
and wide ranging business processes are outsourced
alongside volume/automation activities.
In addition to technology, Andrew has broad
sector knowledge encompassing Transport, Public
Sector and Energy. His transportation knowledge
is particularly deep having worked in or around
this sector for 15 years – specifically
in the rail, bus and air sectors and he is
a UK rail industry expert in terms of apportionment,
pricing and retailing in a privatised network.
